| GEOTHERMAL DRILLING |
|
Geothermal coring drilling is a specialized drilling process to collect continuous cylindrical rock samples (cores) from the subsurface. The purpose is to study the geological formations, temperature, and fluid characteristics that indicate geothermal potential. The drilling uses a diamond bit and coring tools to retrieve intact core samples through volcanic rocks such as basalt, andesite, and pyroclastic breccia. These cores are analyzed to understand fracture zones, permeability, and heat source distribution, helping to plan future production wells in the geothermal field. |
